Double-line books & learning

Two Lines are Greater Than One

Do you remember the first time you wrote in your double-line notebook? Perhaps you used it during pre-school or basic school? Well, I remember and boy did it pay off.

After another session of "Writing for the Electronic Media" class last week, I learnt that even screen-play writers incorporate the handy technique of double-space writing.

Personally, I think it makes the process of reading better and in the case of screen-play writing, directors/ actors/actresses can make minor corrections or notes within the spaces.

It's funny that I also remember making quite a lot of scribbles in my first double-line notebook. But then, it just got better and better. Let’s face it we weren’t all born with the incredible gift of writing; it can be very confusing. So, thank God for the invention of double-line notebooks!

FYI:

  • The bottom line keeps the writing straight, while the middle controls the size of the letters.
  • The double lines actually help children to correctly place letters.
  • It creates an easier transition to single line paper.
  • It creates a simple and neat presentation of your writing.
  • Your work may be easily scanned and copied.

Switching from writing to typing has been made a bit easier! How? Because you would’ve already grasped the foundation of double-space writing, making even the most unpredictable writing quite legible.

Take a look!
