We often times hear that water is good for us, but are you really aware of its benefits? Well, after reading this blog you may just exclaim the word 'wow!' Here's why...
Weight loss
Water is one of the best tools for weight loss! Yes, water does play a huge
role. Instead o drinking sodas and other high calorie drinks, try water.
Overtime your body will get use to that refreshing taste. Often times, we say
that we’re hungry, but truth and in fact, we’re just thirsty. The great thing
about it is that water has no CALORIES, no CARBS & no SUGAR. Cool, right?
It Keeps Your Heart healthy
We all know that keeping the heart healthy is of uthmost importance. Why,
without it, our bodies are dead. Drinking a good amount of water could lower
your risks of a heart attack. A study , published
in 2002 in the American
Journal of Medical Epidemiology found that participants "whodrink five or more glasses of plain water a day have a much lower risk of fatalcoronary heart disease compared to those who drink less than two glasses perday."
Excellent Energy Booster
Being dehydrated can easily demobilize your body and make you feel very tired
-- I should know, because I once feinted, due to lack of water. Funny enough,
if you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated -- and this may lead to fatigue,
muscle weakness, dizziness and other symptoms.
Gets rid of Headaches
Have you ever had a day, where you simply could not function, due to a very
pounding headache? Well, it may be that your body has dehydrated. Very often
when we have headaches, it's actually a sign from your body that it needs water.
I’m not ruling out the other factors ofcourse, but sometimes it’s because of dehydration.
Healthy skin
Have acne troubles? Well, drinking water can help you get that beautiful and
glowing skin you’ve always wanted. However, it won’t be a matter of overnight, instead
this will take place overtime. "Water helps preserve the hydration of the outerlayers of the skin, creating an effective barrier that protects the body frombacteria and irritants”.
Digestive problems
It’s really true! Water does help our digestive systems. Without it, our foods will not digest properly and we would have a really difficult time doing number 2; it loosens your bowels. Often times water is the answer for acid problems (acid reflux) or when consumed with fiber, constipation.
Cleansing
Water helps our bodies to flush out toxins and waste products.
Cancer risk
Drinking a healthy amount of water may also reduce the risk of certain cancers, such as: colon, bladder or possibly breast cancer.
Better exercise
If you’re an athlete or frequently works out at the gym, you’ll notice that
when you exercise, your bodies then require additional water. So it’s important
not just for athletes or persons who work out a lot, but everyone to hydrate
before, during and after a hard day’s work.
